Objectives

The aim of the course is to learn to recognize the most common plants and insects in nature

After completing the course the student should be able to

• identify common plants and insects in Swedish ecosystems and know in which environments they occur.
• master the use of keys for species determination.

Content

Lectures cover systematics, organism’s way of living and adaptations to the environment. At exercises species identification using literature is trained.
