Objectives
The course aims to give an overview of scientific methods in business administration.
After successful completion of the course, students will be able to:
- prepare a draft essay,
- account for the qualities of a well-written problem formulation, as well as discuss how to develop theoretical and empirical support in a problem formulation,
- in general terms describe different methods as well as argue for and choose between these,
- evaluate and discuss the content of academic papers.
Content
The course is based mainly on lectures, compulsory seminars as well as a compulsory draft essay.
The course is divided into three parts:
- Reading and analysis of academic papers.
- Studies of basic theory of scientific method.
- To prepare and discuss a draft essay.
