Course description
The focus is on how Nordic meat production works and how it affects
animals, the environment, and the economy. We follow the entire chain – from land use and feed to animal growth, management, and meat quality.
Special emphasis is placed on animal health, welfare, and productivity. The course also explores how the economics of meat production are linked to environmental impact, especially from ruminants, and what challenges future climate change may bring for the sustainability of the system.
