Objectives

On completion of the course, the student will be able to:

- Describe theory of genetic analysis for plant breeding.
- Evaluate and compare plant breeding methods for improving target trait(s).
- Explain modern breeding tools in plant breeding.
- Analyze omics data for plant breeding by bioinformatics.

Content

The course is carried out by following a subset of lectures and practical bioinformatics exercises on the master course BI1296, Plant Biology for Breeding and Protection, and reading of scientific literature.
