Admitted to summer courses

Page reviewed:  24/04/2026

On this page you will find information about what steps to take if you are admitted or placed on the waiting list to courses during the summer 2026.

Checklist

To be offered a place

If you are on a waiting list, you have to be offered a place before you can register. SLU will contact you if you can be offered a place.  Only students who are admitted to a course or programme should attend the roll call.

The University cannot estimate your chances of getting a place

We regret that the University cannot reply to questions about your chances of getting a place or when any notification may come.

The department's routines of admission from a waiting list

  • The department offering the course will contact applicants on the waiting list by e-mail.
  • Please make sure the contact information in your account at universityadmissions.se is correct so that the University can get hold of you quickly.
  • Keep an eye on your spam mail folder in case important messages have ended up there.

Students without a Swedish personal identity number

With a SLU student account, you can log in to student computers and the student web, access library resources, and log in to your SLU email account.

If someone at SLU needs to contact you or inform you about something, this is the email address they will use. Make it a habit to check your SLU email account regularly.

Two ways to obtain an SLU student account

1. On campus

You can wait until you arrive on campus and then visit the IT support office at your respective campus.

Please bring valid identification with you (a national ID card if you are an EU citizen, or a passport).

2. Remotely

You can also activate your account remotely. This is possible from mid August at the earliest for courses starting in the autumn semester, and from early January for courses starting in the spring semester.

  • Contact the IT service desk by phone on +46 18 67 66 00 and choose option 1. An identity check will be conducted via video before your account details are provided. Acceptable forms of ID are a passport, a national driving licence, or a national ID card. Please ensure that your ID is readily available. The IT service desk is open Monday–Friday, 08:00–16:00 CET.
  • During the call, you will be prompted to join https://join.video.slu.se/webapp/#/?conference=it-stod
  • The IT service desk will provide you with an activation code and a username, which you can use to activate your account. Click New account to complete the activation.

For questions about your IT account, please contact support@slu.se.

Contact IT support

Contact IT support on your campus if you experience any problems. They do not offer IT support for your personal devices.

If you have any questions about your student IT account, contact support@slu.se.

At the first class, you will receive important information about the course and the requirements in relation to examination and grading. If you are unable to make the first class, contact the department responsible for the course in advance. Registration to the course is required to be able to attend classes, and will activate your insurance and student account.

Admitted to a freestanding course

If you are admitted to a freestanding course, you are usually able to register online. Online registration will be open in Ladok one week before the course starts. To be able to register online, you need to activate your SLU student account first.

If you cannot register online, your teacher can also register you at the roll call/first lecture. Note: The Study guidance and the Admissions Office at SLU cannot register students.

You will find your schedule on the course page. Use the course serach tool to find your course page.

If you are admitted after the course has started

If you have been admitted to a course that has already started, it is important that you participate in the classes as soon as possible.

You will find your schedule on the course page. Use the course serach tool to find your course page.

During office hours, most campus buildings are not locked. However, some areas require an access card even during office hours. An access card is required for using computer labs, etc., in the evening and on weekends.

Once you have registered for an SLU course, you will receive an email informing you that your personal access card is ready for collection at the service centre. It may take up to two days before the card is available to collect.

Further information, including details on where to collect your personal access card, is available on the page Access card and lock-up times.
