Location

Krycklan is a watershed located in the boreal region of northern Sweden in the county of Västerbotten. Krycklan is a tributary to the national River Vindelälven which starts in the mountain range, crosses Sweden and enters the Baltic Sea near Umeå.

About us

Krycklan is a 6,780 ha watershed spanning a forested landscape dotted with wetlands and lakes. Part of it lies within the Svartberget Experimental Forest, established in the 1920s and now managed by the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences.
