Additional info:

Mikael Kerboeuf. After graduating from the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU) in 2017, Mikael started working at the university hospital (small animals) at NMBU. He worked there for two years, before starting on his PhD project. In addition to working on the PhD project, Mikael also sees oncology patients in the clinic. The project aims to improve the understanding of the metastatic process by using dogs with osteosarcoma as models. The project focuses on both the description of micrometastases and associated immunological processes (macrophage response). The research group is collaborating with The Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies (University of Edinburgh) and Medical faculty (University of Oslo).

Mikael is particularly interested in tumour immunology and increasing the awareness of the benefits of comparative oncology. On his free time, Mikael enjoys spending time with his friends and colleagues, as well as forest hiking and fishing.
