Seminar with John Gilleard about anthelmintic resistance

SLU Committee for Global Animal Diseases welcomes you to a seminar about anthelmintic resistance by professor John Gilleard at the University of Calgary. The seminar has the title Molecular epidemiology and diagnostics of anthelmintic drug resistance in parasitic nematodes of domestic animals.

Dr Gilleard’s research interests are in the field of drug resistance in parasites. His research group uses integrated genomic and genetic approaches to elucidate the molecular mechanisms of drug resistance in parasites and population genetic approaches to investigate its emergence and spread.

John Gilleard also has an interest in the development of novel diagnostic approaches for parasitic infections and anti-parasitic drug resistance, particularly for cattle parasites.

The seminar begins at 14.00 o'clock with coffee and ends at 15.30.
