Worth knowing Ultuna is back with new lectures

Värt att veta is the SLU Library’s popular science lecture series and aims to share and increase awareness of SLU:s most exciting research, both at our own university and with the general public. Join us for a lunch lecture at the library, and have both your mind and your belly fed.

Our first speaker this fall is, very excitingly, Professor Seema Arora-Jonsson at the Department of Urban and Rural Development. She will be speaking on Centering care work in climate action: addressing the care and climate crisis.

The global care crisis is being exacerbated by the global climate emergency, with interlocking impacts that threaten lives and livelihoods in all parts of the world. These impacts are particularly severe in resource-based economies and make everyday life difficult for people living with scarce resources and low incomes in rural areas of the global South.

When: Monday October 31 12.15 at the Ultuna Library

Due to illness, the lecture cannot be broadcast live, but will be able to be viewed afterwards. The link to the lecture will be published here.

Soup is served in the library at 12.00.
