Policy Workshop on Carbon Farming

The aim of the webinar is to facilitate knowledge exchange between key stakeholders on the topic and identify future steps for research to support carbon farming activities involving agricultural soil. These steps will be used to shape action and research in Europe.

Speakers from a wide range of organisations, including the European Commission (DG Clima and DG Agri), and the Europan Joint Programme (EJP) SOIL, along with financial institutions involved in carbon farming schemes, will present their plans and perspectives.

This will be a full day event consisting of presentations on:

• Policy perspectives on C Farming by DG Clima
• The relationship between C Farming and the CAP by DG Agri
• The potential for Carbon Sequestration by CORBOSEQ EJP SOIL
• C Farming integration into business models
• Case studies of C farming schemes at EU and Global levels
