Excursion with Future Forests

The Future Forests platform invites you to a forest excursion to facilitate dialogue and exchange knowledge. We will highlight some of the research themes Future Forests has been working with throughout 2021 and 2022.

  • Climate adaptation and forest management
  • The research programme that became a study circle 
  • Tree species for the future
  • Knowledge co-production between reindeer husbandry and forestry
  • Gap cuttings, shelterwoods and small-scale clearcutting
  • Continuous cover forestry and multiple-use forestry

Where? Svartberget field research station, Vindeln

When? 2 June, 09.30-16.00

Language: Swedish or English (the excursion will be divided in two groups)

Departure: Bus from SLU Umeå at 08.30

Samling: We gather at Svartberget field research station, Vindeln at 09.30

Price: 300 SEK, free for those working at SLU, Skogforsk and Umeå University
