Seminar for Leif Andersson: Genetics of phenotypic diversity

seminars, workshops |

Our senior advisor, professor Leif Andersson will retire from SLU this summer and we want to celebrate Leif and his long and important work at SLU with a seminar. You are most welcome to share this day with us at the Department of Animal Breeding and Genetics. Come and listen to inspiring talks, take part in the discussion, meet old friends and find new contacts.

The presentations will cover genetics of a wide range of traits in humans and animals. Invited speakers from abroad are professors Naomi Wray and Peter Visscher from University of Queensland and professor Michel Georges from University of Liège. Professor Tove Fall from Uppsala University, and researcher Sofia Mikko and senior lecturer Gabriella Lindgren from our department will also give presentations. And, of course, the key speaker himself, Leif, who will talk about “Genetics of phenotypic diversity: from natural to domestic populations and back again”.
