Aneth Bella David

Aneth is a PhD student in Plant Protection Biology at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) Plant Protection Department. She is also an Assistant Lecturer at University of Dar-es-Salaam (UDSM), Tanzania. Aneth has a background on Molecular Biology and Biotechnology. She has previously engaged on research on the use of soil bacteria for plant protection and growth promotion. Her current research project is focused on understanding the interaction between soil microbiome and plant health for sustainable food production. Specifically, her thesis investigates the role of soil microbiome on plant volatile emissions and provision of ecosystem services. Her main interest is on agricultural biotechnology and bioinformatics. She is also passionate about science, education and gender equality causes. Likewise, she contributes at Wikimedia community as an editor for Wikipedia English and editor and admin for Wikipedia Kiswahili. When not in the lab is an avid reader, enjoys travelling and sharing knowledge on social media and her blog.
