Jinshu Chi

I am a researcher at the Department of Forest Ecology and Management, SLU-Umeå. I have a background in micrometeorology. My research interests are biosphere-atmosphere interactions, carbon and water cycles, and global change.

  • 2021-present: Inter-annual variability of net landscape carbon balance (NLCB) in northern Sweden.
  • 2019-2020: Estimating carbon and water fluxes over boreal forest floors using below-canopy eddy covariance measurements.
  • 2016-2019: Landscape-scale full carbon and greenhouse gase budgets in a managed boreal forest landscape using tall tower eddy covariance measurements in northern Sweden.
  • 2011-2016: Investigating effects of climatic conditions and management practices on agricultural carbon and water budgets in the inland Pacific Northwest US using eddy covariance measurements and CropSyst simulations.
