Kishore Vishwanathan

Kishore Vishwanathan
Postdoctoral researcher working on molecular plant-microbe interactions in the boreal forests and also the Chair of SLU Postdoc Association (SLUPA).

My research is focussed on understanding the highly beneficial feather moss-cyanobacteria symbiosis in the boreal forests. The nitrogen-fixing cyanobacteria are hosted by these non-vascular plants to meet their nitrogen demands. My role is targeted towards deciphering and characterizing the biochemical, genetic cues which underlie the communication between these symbionts.
