I am a PhD candidate under a double degree programme administered by the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences and Ardhi University in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
My PhD research examines the use of an ecosystems services framework to integrate climate mitigation and adaption into the governance of peri-urban land in Tanzania. It is part of a large research and capacity building programme funded by the Swedish International Development Agency.
I have worked at Ardhi University since 2010 as an Assistant Research Fellow in the Institute of Human Settlements Studies. My research interests include climate change, natural resources management, ecosystem governance, and policy analysis. I trained as a statistician, but hold a Master of Science in Natural Resources Assessment and Management from the University of Dar es Salaam.
I spend part of my time in Sweden and part in Tanzania.
