Malin Bäckman

I am a doctoral student in Environmental Communication at the Department of Urban and Rural Development. My research belongs to a project focusing on nudging and participation for sustainable urban lifestyles.

Presentation

Before joining SLU I had been working in interdisciplinary academic research projects focusing on different sustainability related topics for a few years. I have a background in design and a keen interest in creative and participatory research methods. 

 

Research

My PhD research is part of a project called Sustainable Urban Lifestyles through Nudging and Citizen Engagement, where I am studying everyday practices by ethnographic research methods in two urban areas; Rosendal in Uppsala and Sofielund in Malmö.
