ELLS Prize for Excellent Master Theses awarded to student at the department

Agnes Krettek wrote her thesis at the Department of Aquatic Sciences and Assessment (IVM) in 2017 with Pablo Gago-Ferrero as her main supervisor. This is the second time a student at IVM receives this award.

In the thesis, Agnes Krettek showed how regulatory databases combined with the last advances in high resolution mass spectrometry (HRMS) can be efficiently used to prioritize and identify new, potentially hazardous pollutants in the aquatic environment.
