SLU's contribution to Uppsala Health Summit 2017

Uppsala Health Summit (UHS) 2017 took place 10-11 October at Uppsala castle and focused on priorities for preventing, detecting and responding to infectious disease threats, using a One Health approach.

Uppsala Health Summit is a recurring international policy arena for dialogue on challenges for health and healthcare, and how we can overcome them. This years theme was Tackling Infectious Disease Threats - Prevent, detect, respond with a One Health approach.  

Dr. Elisabeth Lindahl-Rajala from the Department of Clinical Sciences and SLU Global at SLU, held an inspirational talk during the workshop Zoonotic Diseases in Livestock – Mitigating Risk Behaviour. The workshop was prepared by Dr.Sofia Boqvist DVM, Associate Professor, Department of Biomedical Science and Veterinary Public Health and Dr.Ulf Magnusson, DVM, Professor, Department of Clinical Sciences and SLU Global, both from SLU. Both Sofia and Ulf was also active in the preparation of this year's UHS as they were members of the Programme Committee for UHS 2017. The programme committee is responsible for shaping the content of Uppsala Health Summit and is put together based on the theme of each year’s summit.
