Nicholas Jarvis receives award for outstanding contributions

Professor Nicholas Jarvis at the Department of Soil and Environment has received the Rien van Genuchten Award for his outstanding contribution and advanced modelling of flow and transport processes in soils.

The biennial Rien van Genuchten award is issued for contributions to the understanding of flow and transport processes in soils. It is dedicated to recognizing scientific achievements made by well-established researchers in the field of soil and vadose zone sciences.

The International Soil Modeling Consortium, ISMC, issues the award. ISMC  aims to integrate and advance soil systems modeling, data gathering, and observational capabilities.
