SLU-projects funded for research related to the Global Goals

Published: 15 November 2018

Five SLU projects have been funded from Formas, for preparatory work to lead larger research projects that relate to the United Nations’ Global Goals for Sustainable Development (SDGs). The grants are expected to be used for initiating broad consortia, developing a strategic research plan and carrying out pre-studies.

The funding consists of two parts, where the first focuses on relations between the Sustainable Development Goals, and the second is focused on humanities and social sciences.

"We are working to fund the most important and relevant research that will help us achieve the UN's Global Goals for Sustainable Development and the Swedish environmental goals." says Ingrid Petersson, General Director of Formas, in a press release.
