Health and well-managed food system is important for sustainable future. Food system includes entire range of actors and their value-adding activities, which involve in the production, aggregation, processing, distribution, consumption and disposal of food products. Your proposal can touch upon any aspects of food system, such as food supply chains, food environments, consumer behaviour, diet, nutrition/health outcomes, and impacts of food system toward environment/economic and society. To align with SLU Global and SIANI's work, we would to like to encourage the seminar's organiser to focus the content on developing countries.
We encourage you to include actors beyond academics, for example NGO’s, civil society and private companies. The event could be held here at SLU Uppsala, Umeå, Alnarp, or somewhere else (at Sida, for example).
Please briefly describe expected outcomes from the event. The outcomes may include policy brief, a news article in one of the local newspapers, a journal article, a research application etc.

The budget for a seminar could be max 70,000 SEK for a full day seminar, or 50,000 SEK for a half day. Budget for a workshop, around 100,000 SEK for a 1.5 or 2-day workshop. Preferably during the spring (Feb-May), or latest during early fall (September) 2018.
