The European Asian aquaculture Technology and innovation Platform (EURASTiP) is a research, development and innovation project within the EU Horizon 2020 programme. Project leader Dr. Kartik Baruah from SLU is the Swedish partner of the EURASTiP project.

The project promotes multi-stakeholder dialogue in the aquaculture community, within South East Asia and between South East Asia and the EU. The objective is to share sustainable aquaculture practices between EU and the key South East Asian aquaculture production areas (e.g. Vietnam, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Thailand).

Some of the focus areas within the project are food safety, sustainability, environmental and social impacts, consumer issues, and aquatic animal health and welfare. Project leader Dr. Kartik Baruah from the Department of Animal Nutrition and Management, SLU, is the Swedish partner of the EURASTiP project.
