Biological control discussions on CBC team meeting

On the 13th of February, the Centre for Biological Control, CBC, had a team meeting with the researchers and associated researchers at CBC at Sunnersta Herrgård.

Mattias Jonsson, the director of CBC started the day with a warm welcome and an introduction about the centre. During the day, all research groups presented their ongoing activities in the areas of Plant traits and variety mixtures, Chemical communication between plants, microbes
and insects, Below and aboveground effects of agricultural management, Fungi in biological control, Safety and regulations and Biodiversity and biological control.

In the afternoon, group discussions about future research ideas were arranged. Here, the research groups were mixed to produce new interesting ideas as people from different areas were combined. In total, 25 researchers participated in the meeting.

– It was really good to get to know everyone a bit better. As a researcher in Uppsala it was really useful for me to be able to discuss with researchers from Alnarp. I think we will continue on with some of the research ideas we came up with during the meeting, says CBC researcher Magnus Karlsson.
