Ugandan partners at SLU for strategy discussions

Researchers from Makerere University involved in the bilateral cooperation with Sweden and SLU, visited SLU during the week to plan and strategise for the coming period of the programme.

SLU is engaged in bilateral cooperation with Uganda, working on sustainable intensification of maize–based cropping systems, currently with three PhD students and 11 MSc students working within the fields of economy, extension, crop and soil science, including crosscutting projects.

Ugandan partners visited SLU 18-22 February to plan and strategise for the final 16 months of the bilateral programme.

All senior scientists visiting presented their research areas in a Seminar on sustainable intensification in East Africa 21 February.
