New STINT project for initiating international relationship at the Department of Economics

“Towards climate resilient agriculture: Start-up research and educational activities between the Department of Economics, Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) and Department of Economics and Agricultural Resources, Kasetsart University (KU) in Thailand”.

The project is a follow up to the recently signed "Memorandum of Agreement for Academic cooperation and exchange"1, and the "Agreement for students' exchange"2 between the two partner institutions.

This cooperation is in line with the SLU's commitments to improve the situation for people in low-income & middle income countries based on the Global Goals of the Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development. The cooperation also supports SLU's focus on global collaboration on development of knowledge, education and innovation for achieving the SDGs.

The project is led by Gordana Manevska-Tasevska, Jens Rommel and Carl-Johan Lagerkvist.
1 Within the Memorandum of Agreement for Academic cooperation and exchange KU and SLU agree to promote the following areas of cooperation.
· Master's and Ph.D. student exchange/mobility
· Faculty members exchange
· Research collaboration
· Conducting academic activities including special lectures, symposia, conferences, workshops and seminars.

2 The bilateral Agreement for Students' Exchange regulates the criteria for the student's selection the educational process.
