Early this morning, a large fire broke out in a storage building at SLU in Alnarp. The rescue service was quickly on site and has prevented the spread to the nearby Alnarpsgården, which, among other things, houses a library. No person has been injured and the fire will not have a big impact on future activities at the university. Alnarpsgården is expected to be available to employees during the afternoon.

A fire alarm in Alnarpsgården reacted early this morning to a fire in a storage building ("Snickarboden") about ten meters away. The building, which was built in the 1920s, did not contain anything of great importance, but is now completely burnt down.

Alnarpsgården is relatively undamaged, but the large heat that development has led to some window panes cracking. The nearby tower house (Tornhuset) is also unaffected.

It is now possible to enter Alnarpsgården and Tornhuset though there is a strong possibility that there is residual smoke odour present. Said odour is not considered dangerous but may be rather unpleasant.
