Sweden's longest and most important development collaborations of all time is with Ethiopia. A new evaluation has recently been released which shows the impact that these collaborations have made, of which a couple where SLU is involved.
The new evaluation presented by The Expert Group for Aid Studies (EBA) shows that important areas for the collaborations have been rural development and education, but also democracy and human rights. SLU has been involved in a couple of the reviewed programmes, including the rural development program CADU and the development of the Wondo Genet College of Forestry, both of which are shown to have had important impacts on society.
