The importance of soil for food and climate in the spotlight during World Soil Day

Soil is the basis for our food supply, and also has an important role to play in climate change. To draw attention to soil and the ecosystem services it provides, a day with seminars was organised at SLU in early December, focusing on the role of soil for food and climate. "We want to tell about the research that is underway to strengthen soil as a resource," says Johan Stendahl, researcher and head of the Department of Soil and Environment at SLU.
