Walk for the senses

On October 11-12 SLU employees within the landscape area met in Ultuna to exchange experiences at the yearly SLU Landscape days.

The keynote speaker was Sofia Eskilsdotter, who talked about:
The New Landscape at Slussen - urban greenery for a changing future

Call For Ideas revealed the new theme for 2023-2024:
Fieldwork Approaches - Reconnecting to our living territory

The selected Call For Ideas projects from 2022-2023 was also presented, which was much appreciated.

Both days offered several interesting workshops to chose from:

  • Ultuna Walk, Talk & Connect - with PhD-students and other animals
  • Project management in LING
  • Reflection on design – what is it for?
  • New European Bauhaus and how can SLU contribute to the initiative
  • Reflective practice and design research – sharing initiatives
  • Putting food on the planning agenda
  • How do we make our landscape educations more attractive to tomorrow's students?

On Wednesday evening the group went to restaurant Sven Dufva at Uppsala Science Park. Before dinner Marina Queiroz led a sensory walk.
