AgriFoSe2030 projects in Vietnam

Parts of the AgriFoSe2030 team visited Vietnam in November last year to learn more about some of the projects going on and exchange knowledge. Two videos have been produced as a result of the visit, one about the black soldier fly project and one about the rice straw mangement project.

Rice straw management in Vietnam

The Sustainable rice straw management project, under AgriFoSe’s Challenge 2 (Agricultural productivity and ecosystem functions), aims support smallholder rice farmers and extension workers to decide on the best alternative for rice straw management by utilising technological options as well as value chain business models.

Black soldier fly in Vietnam

This Application on Black Soldier Fly rearing technology project, under challenge 1 (Improving access to safe and nutritious food) aims to supply Black Soldier Fly larvae as a sustainable source of protein to livestock/and aquaculture farmers in order to improve food security, raise rural farmers’ income and improve farming.
