Examination Formats and Requirements for Passing the Course

•  If a student has failed an examination, the examiner has the right to issue supplementary assignments. This applies if it is possible and there are grounds to do so.
• The examiner can provide an adapted assessment to students entitled to study support for students with disabilities following a decision by the university. Examiners may also issue an adapted examination or provide an alternative way for the students to take the exam.
• If this syllabus is withdrawn, SLU may introduce transitional provisions for examining students admitted based on this syllabus and who have not yet passed the course.

Teaching in English may occur. A study trip within Sweden may occur, which in that case is stated in the course schedule. Expenses related to field trips may occur.

The entry requirement of 7.5 credits animal husbandry may be fulfilled through completed course BI1388 Animal husbandry, animal health and infectious disease control, HV0143 Professional animal and management in practice, LB0099 Agriculture in practice - Animal husbandry 1, LB0100 Agriculture in practice - Animal husbandry 2 or LB0134 Animal husbandry practice.

The entry requirement of 4 credits animal welfare may be fulfilled through completed course BI1431/HV0185 Animal welfare - inspection and assessment, BI1432/HV0160 Animal welfare - protection and ethics, BI0439/HV0136 Animal Welfare and Legislation, BI1387/HV0109 Ethology and animal welfare or HV0191 Animal welfare and legislation.

• The right to participate in teaching and/or supervision only applies for the course instance the student was admitted to and registered on.
