Objectives
The aim of the course is to give an understanding for business administration within the green sector, with a special focus on firms in the horticulture industry. The course provides the students with knowledge for basic business administration and financial control.
Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to:
- describe, explain and use different tools within financial management; product calculation, investment calculation, financial accounting, liquidity budget and economic key figures.
- know and explain basic business law concepts and rules with emphasis on agreements.
Content
The course focuses on basic business administration within the horticultural sector.
Subject-related content:
- organisation, financial management, including liquidity planning, cost and revenue analysis, product calculation and pricing, investment calculation and financing
- external accounting, closing and taxation
- legal concepts and rules in business context with focus on agreement
Teaching formats:
To further student learning and promote discussion, a variety of methods are used.

Scheduled exercises, seminars and study visits are compulsory.
