SLU has several support services that can be helpful during your studies.

Our study- and career counsellors can support and guide you throughout your studies. You can receive guidance via video meeting, telephone, and email.

Exchange studies and SLU Career

Exchange studies at SLU give you the opportunity to study for one or two semesters at a partner university abroad. At SLU, you also have access to careers guidance to help you make the transition from studies to working life.

Exchange studies involve spending one or two semesters at one of SLU’s international partner universities, giving you the chance to take similar courses in a completely different environment. SLU has exchange agreements with many universities around the world.

Student healthcare services and when something goes wrong

At SLU, we want our students to feel well. That’s why you always have access to some form of student health service, as well as studenthälsa.se. Did you know that you are insured during your studies? What should you consider if you become ill? Below, you can also find information about support in the event of an incident.

The Student Health Service can help you with issues relating to student life. This may include stress, difficulty sleeping, low self-confidence, performance anxiety, fear of public speaking, alcohol or other issues that can complicate your time at university.

Students are always covered by Kammarkollegiet’s personal injury insurance for students during university hours. This applies for all students – on campus and on distance.

Rules and rights

Below you can find information about your rights and responsibilities as a student, as well as your opportunities for student participation.

SLU should be characterised by an open attitude and respect for people’s differences and equal value. This means that all students must have the same opportunities. Practical information

EduPrint is the SLU-wide printing and photocopying system. Read more about how to use EduPrint to print, copy and scan documents.

As an SLU student, you have access to several digital tools and software for your studies and distance learning.

However many of SLU’s online resources require licences and can only be used internally. You will need to connect to the SLU VPN (virtual private network) to be able to access services such as the library’s databases and e-journals when not on campus.

 

SLU has a range of premises used by students, including lecture rooms, computer rooms, group study rooms and more. These can be booked using TimeEdit.

 

The service centres offer you help with many things. If we don’t have the answers, we can point you in the right direction. We are located centrally on our Alnarp, Umeå and Uppsala campuses.
