Enhance your ability to turn research into real-world policy impact. This course supports doctoral candidates in analysing policy relevance and communicating evidence-based recommendations effectively.

Upon completion of this course, the students will be able to:

  • Review policy relevance, policy implications and policy recommendations from written policy related documents.
  • Analyze the future relevance of policymaking, policy in practice and scientific evaluations of policy.
  • Demonstrate an ability to identify a policy relevance, implications and recommendations.
  • Demonstrate an ability to communicate policy implications and recommendations, orally and in written format.

Program

The course will have three parts:

  1. Half day training session – in class presentation and discussion.
  2. Reading session – individual work on provided literature and hands-on exercises.
  3. Writing session – students will identify policy relevance, and write policy implications and recommendations for their doctoral project.
