Forest Damage excursion

SLU Forest Damage Centre is organising an excursion to draw attention to new damage and spread knowledge about known causes of forest damage. The excursion takes place in the area of Växjö.

Forest damage is in focus when we gather for an excursion on 26 August. With the excursion, we want to draw attention to, discuss and share knowledge about both new and known forest damage and its causes. Below you will find practical information and a preliminary programme.

The excursion has been planned and is carried out in collaboration with Södra skogsägarna and the Swedish Forest Agency.

The excursion is mainly aimed at forest professionals (authorities and forest industry).

General

We will be travelling by bus to the different stops of the excursion. Due to limited space for parking, the use of your own vehicle is discouraged. Some information will also be given during the bus journey. The bus is free of charge for participants.

Accommodation and travel

All participants will book and pay for their own travel, accommodation and optional dinner on the evening of 25 August.

There are a number of reserved rooms at Quality Hotel Royal Corner in Växjö. These can be booked by phone, email to the hotel or via this link. Please state the code: SLU Skogsskadecentrum 2508.

Rooms that have not been booked will automatically be released on 24 July. If anyone wants to book a room after the rooms have been released, it is of course possible but then at the best price of the day.

For the return journey, train (north and south) is recommended from 17.30
