Last changed: 12 February 2024

The Department of Applied Animal Science and Welfare has a strong tradition of research education within the broad area of animal science with subjects like veterinary medicine, animal nutrition, management and environment, ethology, animal Welfare and ethics, production diseases and economy, meat science.

Postgraduate studies normally result in a doctoral degree (PhD) or licentiate degree. We have no permanent positions for PhD students, because most of our postgraduate education is funded externally and is project-based.
