Mikaela Lindberg is a professor of ruminant nutrition since 1 September 2024. Her inauguration lecture is titled "Från gräs till mjölk: idisslarnas roll i vår matproduktion".

Mikaela Lindberg conducts research on how ruminant production systems can be made more sustainable, with a particular focus on resource efficiency and environmental impact. A central part of her research examines how by-products from the food and biofuel industries can be used as feed for dairy cows, thereby contributing to a more circular use of resources. She has also investigated how different feed ingredients and feed additives can be used to reduce climate impact from dairy cows while maintaining good production levels without negative effects on animal health or the environment.
