Controlled trial with heifers at Röbäcksdalen (Umeå) on virtual fencing
Processing and analysing data from a completed experiment.
The department of Applied Animal Science and Welfare in Umeå is looking for a master’s student. We have a degree project available related to virtual fencing in dairy cattle. The study has already been completed and the data available for a primarily distance student to analyse.
The data available is from virtual fencing collars, and the trial involved the assessment of animal welfare/behaviour for young heifers subject to virtual fencing compared to young heifers who were subject to physical electric fencing. This project had a focus on animal age as virtual fencing has not been well studied in young animals. The data available to you will primarily be collar data.
