Social Innovation Living Lab Botildenborg (SOIL)
Together with Malmö University, the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, LUCSUS at Lund University, Region Skåne, Malmö City, and Form/Design Center, Botildenborg has launched SOIL with the aim of increasing research and knowledge about social innovations.
Botildenborg uses food and cultivation to create concrete activities that contribute to a sustainable city. Botildenborg combines social and ecological resilience, which contributes to possible interdisciplinary research efforts. The work involves research areas such as the labor market, health, integration, food production, sustainable urban development, and entrepreneurship.
Since spring 2024, SLU Urban Futures has been part of the SOIL project.

New forms of collaboration and learning are being tested in Malmö
A living lab creates a unique opportunity for transdisciplinary collaboration where different actors can meet on equal terms to co-create, develop, and learn together. Everyone contributes their specific knowledge and expertise, everyone is needed, and together we develop and own the new knowledge.
