SLU Uppsala

SLU's Uppsala campus is located in Ultuna, in the southern part of Uppsala. This campus houses the Vice-Chancellor´s office, the university management, two of the four faculties, a significant portion of the university administration, and many students.

The Faculty of Natural Resources and Agricultural Sciences and the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science are primarily based in Ultuna.

The Swedish Livestock Research Centre

Located east of Uppsala, the Swedish Livestock Research Centre is Europe's most modern facility for teaching and researching farm animals. Additionally, the Lövsta Field Research Station is located here, where SLU conducts research on soil and crops.

The University Animal Hospital (UDS)

The University Animal Hospital (UDS) in Uppsala is the only university veterinary hospital in Sweden. It combines practical animal care with research and education. Veterinary students and animal nursing students complete part of their training at UDS, as well as at the Swedish Livestock Research Centre.

The SLU Knowledge Garden

The SLU Knowledge Garden is a botanical garden on SLU's Uppsala campus in Ultuna. It functions as a facility for teaching and researching built environments while offering a space for recreation and inspiration open to all.

Travel and find your way to Ultuna

SLU in Uppsala is located on the Ultuna campus, six kilometres south of the city centre. The visiting address is Almas allé 8. There is plenty of parking.

It is easy to get to Uppsala. From Arlanda Airport, there are both train and bus options. From Stockholm, it takes 40 minutes by train to the Uppsala travel centre. From the travel centre, it is easy to take one of Uppsala's local public transport city buses (UL). The stop at Ultuna is called Campus Ultuna.

Student life
