Students Wanted to Lead Workshops at Campus Umeå
Library
Do you have a hobby or special skill you would like to share and teach to others? We are now looking for SLU students who want to lead workshops in a wide range of subjects.
About the assignment:
Student-led workshops are a new initiative where you, as a student, have the opportunity to organise and lead your own practical workshop for both students and staff at SLU.
The workshop should be interactive. Participants should be able to try things out, create, and learn by doing. You don’t need to be an expert. It is enough that you have basic knowledge and enjoy explaining and showing your skills to others.
As a workshop leader, you will gain valuable experience in communication and leadership. This is a great addition to your CV during your studies and for future job applications.
What can the workshop be about?
The topic can be academic, creative, or skill-based. Here are some examples:
- Magic tricks
- Calligraphy – learn to write beautifully
- Crafts, such as knitting, watercolour painting, sculpting, or wood carving
- Programming for beginners
- Growing plants in an apartment
- Video editing for social media
- Ski waxing
