Every two years, Agroecology Europe organises the Forum together with local farmers, universities, social movements, regional administrations, and non-governmental organisations to foster exchange, reflection, and bottom-up discourse. Past forums have taken place in France, Greece, Spain and Hungary.  Malmö in Sweden is up next.

Under the theme “Transformation in Action!”, the Forum is designed as a dynamic festival and collaborative workshop to accelerate agroecological transitions across Europe.

Each day follows a distinct theme—visions, pathways, and actions—guiding participants through a deep and inspiring journey toward a more just and resilient food system.

Day 1: Visions of Agroecological Transformation

We begin by exploring the mindset shifts and cultural foundations of agroecology, including intersectionality, equity, and social justice. Through visionary thinking, we imagine the future of food rooted in care for people and planet.

Day 2: Exploring Transformative Pathways

This day dives into seven interconnected pathways—from resilient food production systems, perennial agriculture, and new economic models to community food cultures, innovative policies, transformative education, and Nordic-specific challenges. Malmö also comes alive with public events, inviting citizens to join the transformation.

Day 3: Moving into Action

Bringing it all together, we transform ideas into concrete next steps—drafting policy briefs, forming action plans, and launching networks. The Forum closes on a hopeful, collective note of empowerment and celebration.

With keynotes, hands-on workshops, artistic exhibitions, and a bustling farmer’s market, the Agroecology Europe Forum 2025 is more than a conference—it’s an immersive call to action.
