The Arvid Lindman Lecture: Forty-five years of attempts to contribute to science

The Arvid Lindman Medal is awarded by the Board of SLU on the proposal of the Faculty of Forest Sciences for particularly meritorious scientific research work.

Peter Högberg is awarded for having developed new scientific methods based on stable carbon and nitrogen isotopes. He has significantly increased the understanding of plant-soil interactions in the forest ecosystem. Peter Högberg's research has contributed internationally to better modeling of both the global carbon cycle and the nitrogen cycle, and how these are linked. He is one of the most cited researchers at SLU.
