About the speaker
Prof. Andreja Kutnar, PhD is a full professor in the field wood science at the University of Primorska (Slovenia) and department chair of InnoRenew CoE. In 2022 she co-authored Horizon Europe-New European Bauhaus Nexus Report. She is coordinator of the New European Bauhaus Academy Alliance, NEB Academy. She was an Executive Board member of InnovaWood for six years and in the years 2020/2021 president of the Society of Wood Science and Technology. In June 2026 she become vice-president of International Academy of Wood Science. Her areas of expertise include wood composites, thermo- hydro-mechanical treatment of wood, and adhesive bonding.
In 2018, she received the distinguished Zois Certificate of Recognition for important scientific achievements in the field of wood science. In 2020, she was included in the EC campaign #EUwomen4future.
