Welcome to an inspiring seminar where two groups from SLU's Interdisciplinary Academy (IDA) 2025-26 present their project outcomes and share insights from their interdisciplinary journey.
In Climate shock impact assessment in the longue durée: agriculture, soils, and society, the group has explored how how climate-related shocks have affected agricultural systems and societies over time, and what lessons can be drawn for future resilience. In Exploring agroecological practices in Swedish dairy farming with an interdisciplinary approach, the focus is on how agroecological perspectives can contribute to the development of sustainable dairy production in Sweden.

The groups two groups will share their experiences, insights and emerging ideas, and discuss what interdisciplinary collaboration can contribute to research, policy and practice.
The programme also includes opportunities for discussion and networking. The event is open to researchers, students, practitioners, policymakers and anyone interested in interdisciplinary approaches to sustainable development.
Welcome to participate on site at Ultuna (with the opportunity to meet colleagues and have a nice fika) or online via Zoom. In the afternoon, discussions will continue on how SLU can further develop interdisciplinary research (see SLU internal calendar).
