In this seminar, Marion Heron, associate professor in educational linguistics, will present Tasks for Doctoral Education, a toolkit for doctoral researchers and supervisors. She will share the key principles underpinning the toolkit and the rationale for choices made.

As a group, seminar participants will discuss one or two of the tasks and consider their relevance and appropriacy to doctoral contexts. Participants will also be invited to share their own perceptions and experiences of doctoral pedagogy and task design and delivery.
