A knowledge broker is someone who distributes knowledge to form commitment to policy—be it a researcher, research communication officer, journalist, or someone else. Drawing on studies in the project “Forest Knowledge in Action” (funded by Marcus and Amalia Wallenberg Foundation), this seminar highlights the historical role of knowledge brokering in the Swedish forestry sector, primarily in a transitional context.

Speaker: Jimmy Jönsson, researcher in History of Ideas and Sciences, Lund University.

Jimmy leads the research project Forest Knowledge in Action, which is part of WIFORCE-HS, a research initiative that focuses on forests and forestry from humanities and social sciences perspectives.
