The course will cover the following topics: 

  • Principles of machine learning:
    • over- and underfitting,
    • bias-variance tradeoff,
    • cross-validation
  • Tree-based methods:
    • Decision trees and ensemble methods
  • Artificial neural networks (ANN)
  • Unsupervised learning:
    • PCA
    • clustering
