The Swedish Biodiversity Symposium 2027 in Uppsala is a science–policy–oriented forum for communication, dissemination, and discussion of science-based knowledge on biodiversity. 

The theme of this second symposium is Science and Society for Local Solutions and Global Impact.

The Swedish Biodiversity Symposium is a biennial, transdisciplinary forum that highlights Sweden’s biodiversity knowledge, research, and the practical implementation of global policy — and how national experience informs international processes.

The symposium primarily welcomes national participants working professionally with biodiversity in any capacity, including those in academia, research institutes, government agencies, business, and NGOs engaged in research, policy development, nature management, education, outreach, and related fields.
